textorize: Pristine Font rendering for the Web

"textorize" is a clever command line script (written in Ruby). It lets Mac OS X users render typography using OS X's subpixel antialiasing and outputs a PNG (by default). The alternative would be using Photoshop various text rendering options which aren't as good in my opinion.

Font Licensing for the Web

"Unless you're a copyright or digital media licensing pro, font licensing can be really confusing. Custom fonts are increasingly being used on the web via several methods. Each method may require specific licensing to cover your intended use and often times font licenses simply don't specify restrictions associated with these new technologies"

The Machine is Us/ing Us

An ambitious and very "web 2.0" video that tries to explain "web 2.0". Using some clever textual editing it puts the modern web into perspective. Rather poignant, until you read the classic YouTube comments below it like "wooooooow!" so cool dang dang dang". Worth a watch though.
