Photoshop in movie posters and ads...

Posted by David Bushell

Photoshop in movie posters and ads is a blog dedicated to uncovering photo editing in professional design.

It’s fun to find the duplications, and other hidden actions on Photoshop in images. I invite you to look at movies posters and ads, with the eye of a graphic designer...

The blog is a more observational version of Photoshop Disasters (which revels in sloppy design). Some of the features are not necessarily bad design at all, just interesting examples of Photoshop editing. In regards to bad design that is on show - I'm not sure whether this annoys me or calms me in the knowledge that if this is the professional standard, I can get a job anywhere!

Is there an excuse for noticeable editing? Limited time and budget are the obvious reasons. Most people do little more than glance at movie posters and ads anyway so is striving for the perfect Photoshop job worth the effort?
