It's video month at Design Heroes HQ!

Here's another must-watch: The Design of HTML5 - a talk by Jeremy Keith at the October Fronteers 2010 conference.

Jeremy Keith introduces the ideas and philosophies behind HTML5 and why it has been successful over the XHTML 2.0 spec. I was disappointed with his book and this talk provides a lot more substance for which I give two big thumbs up.

Be sure to hang around for the Q&A session at the end. He does a bit of live JavaScript tutoring on the big screen, and provides a brilliant explanation of why "human optimisation" should always be prioritised over "search engine optimisation", and how HTML5 works with both. If you haven't started using HTML5 yet, why not?
