WhatFont Bookmarklet is a JavaScript bookmark for your web browser to identify fonts on websites, created by Chengyin Liu, an undergraduate Computer Science student at University of Illinois.

What is the easiest way to find out the fonts used in a webpage? Sure, for developers, Firebug or Webkit Inspector are easy enough to use. However, for others, this should not be necessary. Hence I wrote this bookmarklet, with which you can easily get font information about the text you are hovering on.

I can find immediate use for this! Of course, it won't do image recognition to identify embedded fonts. For that you'll need to do the tried and tested "pass a screenshot on to your creative friends" technique.
